Description:
Headache and/or facial pain caused by a disorder of the cranium, neck, eyes, ears, nose, sinuses, teeth, mouth or other facial or cervical structure not described above.
Diagnostic criteria:
- Any headache and/or facial pain fulfilling criterion C
- A disorder or lesion of cranium, neck, eyes, ears, nose, sinuses, teeth, mouth or other facial or cervical structure not described above but known to be able to cause headache has been diagnosed
- Evidence of causation demonstrated by at least two of the following:
- headache and/or facial pain has developed in temporal relation to the onset of the disorder or appearance of the lesion
- either or both of the following:
- a) headache and/or facial pain has significantly worsened in parallel with progression of the disorder or lesion
- b) headache and/or facial pain has significantly improved or resolved in parallel with improvement in or resolution of the disorder or lesion
- headache and/or facial pain is exacerbated by pressure applied to the lesion
- headache and/or facial pain is localized in accordance with the site of the lesion
- Not better accounted for by another ICHD-3 diagnosis.
