Diagnostic criteria:
- Continuous or intermittent head pain fulfilling criterion B
- Felt exclusively in an area of the scalp, with three only of the following four characteristics:
- sharply-contoured
- fixed in size and shape
- round or elliptical
- 1-6 cm in diameter
- Not fulfilling ICHD-3 criteria for any other headache disorder
- Not better accounted for by another ICHD-3 diagnosis.
