Diagnostic criteria:
- Headache fulfilling criteria for 8.2 Medication-overuse headache
- Regular intake of any combination of ergotamine, triptans, non-opioid analgesics and/or opioids1 on a total of ≥10 days/month for >3 months without overuse of any single drug or drug class alone2.
Notes:
- The drugs or drug classes should be specified in parenthesis.
- Without overuse of any single drug or drug class alone means that criterion B has not been fulfilled for any of the specific subtypes 8.2.1-8.2.5.
