Diagnostic criteria:
- Any headache fulfilling criterion C
- A specific phobia has been diagnosed according to DSM-5 criteria
- Headache occurs exclusively when the patient is exposed or anticipating exposure to the phobic stimulus
- Not better accounted for by another ICHD-3 diagnosis.
Comment:
Specific phobias typically last for 6 months or more, causing clinically significant distress and/or impairment in social, occupational and/or other important areas of functioning.
